DISTRITO MUNICIPAL
El actual Distrito municipal de Palmarejo Villa Linda, era un antiguo Batey del Central Rio Haina dedicado al trabajo de la Caña de Azúcar, era un Batey central desde la década de los 40´ muy concurrido en el tiempo de la caña y administrado por el CEA (Consejo Estatal de la azúcar). Este batey al igual que muchos en el país ha sufrido cambios dramáticos en su tejido social, fuentes de trabajo, actividades, infraestructura, viviendas, servicios y educación.

CULTURA
La población de este Distrito Municipal Palmarejo Villa Linda están llenos de creencias muy curiosas, sin lugar a dudas mitos y tabúes que le acompañan a lo largo de toda su historia.
TURISMO
Nuestra comunidad no posee elementos importantes que pudieran explotarse en el contexto turístico, no obstante Palmarejo Villa Linda se avanza en un proyecto Ambiental en el marco del cual se llevaran a cabo entrenamientos y eventos de este especializado en el manejo del medio ambiente que podría convertirse un mecanismo para que visitantes de fuera de la comunidad tantos dominicanos como extranjero visiten Palmarejo Villa Linda.
